This Adorable Rescue Cat Looks Like Sloth from 'The Goonies' in the Cutest Way Pawssible

Unlike the other kids, Sloth from 'The Goonies' didn't scare us. We loved his smooshy face from the very beginning and could tell that he had a heart of gold underneath those scars. Turns out that Pinocchio, AKA Pokee, is the exact same way.

Everybody always wants to adopt the cute kittens first. Then, they'll go for the cats that are "special," like those with rare and unique fur patterns, followed by color preferences (orange, white, calico, tortoiseshell, black, etc.). Some sparse people will then go for the regulars - the standard-issue cats and the young adults who still have plenty of feline future ahead of them. But where does that leave the sweet senior kitties and the cats with special needs?

Caring for a special-needs cat is not something that fits into everyone's lifestyle. It can be tough. They require more frequent visits to the vet and they might require a bit of help to live a "normal" life, but it's 100% worth it. And after you get past the vet visits, you realize that they're just as much cat as any of the other cats around, just… special.

Pinocchio, AKA Pokee, is our special-needs cat below. He looks like Sloth from The Goonies in the most wholesome way pawssible. He was born with a congenital defect, smooshing his nose to one side and causing a few other part of his body to be lopsided, but with those impurrfections came a lot of love and a whole lot of cuteness! He has the most awwdorable scraggly whiskers and the most loving stare you could ever ask for.

His hooman runs a special needs animal rescue, taking in all kinds of cats with special needs, even including some doggos and chickens under her care! They've given Pokee the best life he could pawssibly imagine, and we're proud to feature them on I Can Has Cheezburger as purrfect examples of cat lovers and contributors to the cat community.

Pokee may look grumpy, but we pawmise that he's actually a sweet little love bug. Don't you just want to smother his smooshy face with kisses? I do. Seeing his hooman take care of him reminds us that we should try to open our hearts and homes to the cats that no one wants and give them a chance. Because if we don't, who will? They might never find a furrever home, and that's just unacceptable to us. Every cat deserves to be loved, especially the special ones like Pokee.
